Music's Biggest Stars Glittered in Platinum at
The 46th Grammy Awards

A-list celebrities choose pure, rare, eternal metal to celebrate career achievements

Platinum jewelry continues to rule the red carpet during awards show season, and the 46th Grammy Awards was no exception. From major "bling" to delicate baubles, music's biggest stars including Madonna, Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah, Sarah McLachlan, and Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne couldn't get enough of precious platinum. Current platinum favorites include long chains with diamond pendants, vintage cuff or stacked bracelets, drop and hoop earrings, pocket watches, right hand rings and classic brooches.

Presenter and "material girl" Madonna glowed in a long platinum and diamond chain, multi strand and line bracelets, a right hand ring and of course, platinum and diamond drop earrings from top vintage platinum jewelry designer Neil Lane. Presenter Queen Latifah sparkled from afar in a pair of Lane's platinum and diamond hair clips, a wide bracelet, a pendant necklace, and platinum and diamond earrings. Nominee Missy Elliott "worked it" in Lane's platinum accessories including a pocket watch, a wide bracelet, two large right hand rings and platinum and diamond hoop earrings. America's favorite parents and presenters Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne selected Lane's vintage designs. Daddy Osbourne wore a platinum and diamond ring, while Mommy Osbourne sparkled in chandelier earrings and bracelets. Daughter Kelly also selected Lane's platinum chandelier earrings, and a platinum bracelet. Nine Inch Nails and current reality TV sweetheart Dave Navarro showed off a stack of Lane's platinum pendants proving that rockers still can't get enough "bling." When being interviewed on the red carpet, wife Carmen Electra pointed to Navarro's platinum pendants and noted "of course they're platinum!"

Nominee Sarah McLachlan selected a long platinum and diamond pendant necklace, a platinum cuff bracelet, and drop earrings from renowned jewelry house Harry Winston...clearly making her shine during her performance. Nominee Martina McBride chose Winston's platinum "Grid" cuff bracelet, and "Studs-on-Wires" earrings.

Singing sensation Mary J. Blige was also decked in platinum jewelry. Blige opted for a stack of platinum line bracelets and drop hoop earrings from designer Stephen Russell. Blige added additional spice to her yellow ensemble by wearing a platinum and diamond right hand ring from designer Lorraine Schwartz. For the post event parties, Blige wore Russell's platinum and diamond art deco cuff bracelet and "Lavelier" drop necklace.

Presenter and Sex and the City actress Sarah Jessica Parker chose a platinum and diamond brooch from the 1930s, and classic platinum and diamond stud earrings from celebrated design house Fred Leighton. Carrie would have been proud of Parker's sexy style!
