At the 2009 JCK Show in Las Vegas, platinum bridal was clearly the bright spot.  In fact, despite these tough economic times, a recent Modern Bride survey reported that 86% of brides said they are spending the same amount as six months ago or more on jewelry.  Designers exhibiting at the show stayed focused and committed to their bridal business by returning to the classics, highlighting their "best sellers," and in the end, retailers made purchases.

PGI once again hosted the luxurious and centrally located, 'Platinum Pavilion' which provided unique networking opportunities and access to an expansive selection of Platinum product, resources and educational aids.  This year, the Pavilion spotlighted the following PGI programs designed to support the platinum industry:

IN-STORE SIGNAGE PROGRAM
PGI's free In-Store Signage Program provides retailers with practical tools needed to grow their business. With over 2000 signs ordered to date, "retailers have reported that in-store platinum signage as well as other visual prompts has driven conversations leading to  increased platinum sales," says Michelle Peranteau, Manager of Marketing Communications at PGI.

In 2009, more than 800 Platinum signs, featuring 54 brands, have been shipped to retailers across the country. The signs continue to inspire both the customers and the sales associates about the distinct value and beauty of this precious metal. The signage, modeled after PGI-USA's national consumer advertising campaign, spurs consumer recognition of PGI's multi-million dollar ad campaign and allows retailers to customize individual signs with their choice of poster size and product shot. 

PLATINUM SALES SUPPORT KIOSKS
The Platinum Sales Support Kiosks at the Platinum Pavilion served as an interactive tool where visitors could learn more about PGI's most popular programs:
