Jewelry designer Katharine James was honored for her platinum and diamond wedding collection at the Town and Country 2008 Design Awards held at the Wynn Las Vegas last week, it has been revealed.
According to fibre2fashion.com, the collection, which includes platinum wedding bands engraved with personalized messages and set with full-cut brilliant diamonds, won an award in one of the ten categories.
The event, held from May 28th to June 2nd, also saw Erica Courtney scoop an award in platinum category and Todd Reed earned an honor for his diamond jewelry.
In related news, jewelry designers were recognized for their work at the recent annual DIVA Awards design competition held by the Women's Jewelry Association, according to Jewelers Circular Keystone.
The theme of the competition was 'The Platinum Wedding' and Carley McGee won in the Platinum Jewels for the Bridal Party category for her Helios Pendant made from platinum, diamonds and rock crystal.
