- In its continued efforts to support manufacturers and their retail partners, this June, Platinum Guild International (PGI-USA) will be sponsoring a variety of events at the JCK Show. PGI-USA is confident that these initiatives will continue to increase Platinum bridal and fashion jewelry awareness among the jewelry trade.
At this year's show, PGI-USA will once again have the JCK Platinum Pavilion (Booth #300) and will be hosting the following:
. Power Hours: PGI will host Power Hours at the Platinum Pavilion Lounge during the first three days of the show (May 30-June 1) from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. and 3:00-5:00 p.m. Enjoy food and drinks while you learn more about how to "Take Back the Wedding" by turning one engagement ring sale into the ever-important "three ring" sale. The Pavilion will feature 36 distinguished Platinum exhibitors with products ranging both in style and price. While there, pick up free DVDs and point of sale marketing materials to help increase Platinum revenue.
. Duratrans Giveaway: Both the retailer and the consumer miss out when Platinum jewelry is difficult to locate at a store. Take advantage of PGI's multi-million dollar marketing program to raise consumer awareness of Platinum as a rare and enduring precious metal. As of February 2008, PGI is offering 3-Platinum-ring signage to retailers to capture the customer's attention and to act as a selling tool for sales associates (offer limited to two duratrans or other printing materials per store).
. WJA Platinum Diva Awards: For the second year, PGI-USA will serve as the pillar sponsor at the 12th annual WJA Platinum Diva Awards. This year, the categories have been expanded to five to increase the number and variety of the entries: Bridal Everyday Ring Trio; DIVA Bridal Ring Trio; Elegant Jewels for the Bride or Bridal Party; DIVA Bridal Jewels for the Bride or Bridal Party; and Colorful Engagements and Weddings in Platinum. Images or renderings will also be accepted. All entries must be received by April 18th, and the winners will be announced at the Platinum Pavilion during the JCK show.
