Not only does Thompson now rank as one of Robbins' Diamonds' top platinum sales associates, she is also one of four winners of the recent PGI co-sponsored 2006 Platinum Sellers Contest. The winners, who sold the most platinum bridal jewelry over 3 months, will enjoy a four-night stay for two in either the Domincan Republic or Cancun, including airfare, accommodations, select meals, and activities or spa services.
Another winner in the 2006 Platinum Sellers Contest was Sales Associate Terry Wilbanks of Kennesaw, Georgia's Shane Company. Upon learning that she was one of four who outperformed sales associates in 40 retail stores nationwide, Wilbanks could hardly contain herself. "Words cannot express the appreciation I feel for winning," said Wilbanks. "We are very excited!"
Wilbanks, who has been at Shane since August of 2005 said there's no big secret to her success. "I simply utilized the information provided in the PGI Training, which enabled me to sell with conviction," said Wilbanks.
"When you truly understand the advantages of owning platinum, you can then convey them to your customers with integrity. I found that once customers are educated about the value, benefits and prestige of owning platinum, they are much more willing to pay the premium for it. I also encourage customers to think of their bridal purchases as an heirloom they will cherish and pass down to future generations," said Wilbanks.
