Celebrities Show Their Heart Of Platinum By Signing Precious Platinum Jeans For Charity

New York (January 2006) -
At Platinum Guild International's Platinum Red Carpet Jewelry Preview coinciding with the 63rd Annual Golden Globe Awards, celebrities like Gabrielle Union, Jane Kaczmarek and Amy Adams came out to support a philanthropy close to the hearts of many.  Celebrities attended PGI's suite not only to select stunning Platinum jewelry to adorn them on the red carpet, but to sign a pair of limited-edition Platinum jeans by Japanese fashion label Gekko to be put up for auction as part of the Clothes Off Our Back 2006 Golden Globe Award Show Celebrity Website Charity Auction with proceeds going to deserving children's charities.

PGI-USA partnered with Clothes Off Our Back Foundation, founded by Emmy nominee, Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle), and her husband, Bradley Whitford (The West Wing), to give the stars a wonderful opportunity to benefit charities like UNICEF, Cure Autism Now, and Half the Sky.  Television's favorite actors and actresses showed their heart of platinum by autographing an exclusive pair of Gekko Platinum jeans by designer Yuji Hasegawa.  The intensely luxe, yet edgy jeans have the popular distressed look and reveal pure Platinum strands woven throughout.  The size 34 Platinum jeans, valued at $3,500, were autographed by Ever Carradine (Commander in Chief), Brandon Routh (Superman), Rex Lee (Entourage), Shawn Pyfrom (Desperate Housewives), Alex Nesic (Sleeper Cell), Amy Adams (June Bug, Catch Me if You Can), Ashton Holmes (History of Violence), Gabrielle Union (The Honeymooners), Henry Lubatti (Sleeper Cell) and Jane Kaczmarek.  Each celebrity signature has been immortalized in Platinum colored thread to last an eternity.

To bid on the Platinum Gekko jeans donated by Platinum Guild International, along with over 50 other items worn by Hollywood's hottest stars, visit www.clothesoffourback.org.  The auction is currently live and ends on March 31st.

Platinum is prized for its Pure, Rare and Eternal qualities:

PURE: Platinum's high level of purity (generally 90%-95% pure) endows it with both a natural white luster, allowing the true radiance of a diamond or gemstone to shine and hypoallergenic qualities that prove ideal for sensitive skin.

Only the purest platinum jewelry will bear a stamp reading "PLATINUM", "PLAT", "Pt 950", or "Pt 900", signifying the jewelry is 90% to 95% pure platinum.

RARE: Platinum is 30 times more rare than gold.

ETERNAL:  Platinum will hold a diamond or gemstone securely, now and for always.
