PGI Launches Informative "Bench TV" Series

With PGI's recent launch of "Bench TV," keeping current on the tricks of the trade has never been easier.   Bench jewelers, retailers and manufacturers now have immediate access to an informative series of technical presentations on the latest in platinum.

"Because the industry is continually evolving, we've launched Bench TV so that bench jewelers can easily learn about the latest in the world of platinum jewelry in a creative and compelling environment -- all at their convenience," said Jenny Luker, PGI's Senior Vice President.  "New and innovative techniques that streamline platinum design and fabrication are being brought to the forefront every day.  And, in this competitive marketplace, it's important for bench jewelers as well as retailers and manufacturers to know what's available, what's new, and the latest technical applications that save time and money, keeping them competitive and profitable."

The first in a series of 12 unique monthly episodes will highlight three-stone platinum ring setting.  Future episodes will cover topics such as sizing platinum rings and head replacement.

View our video tutorials on how to work with platinum"This informative channel of training will help take the mystery out of platinum for many viewers," Luker added.  "There is a misconception that platinum is more difficult to work with than other metals, when conversely, it's simply different.  By visually demonstrating new or refined techniques in a clear and concise manner, any skilled bench jeweler with reluctance or hesitancy concerning platinum can be on their way to mastering the repair, fabrication and sizing of platinum jewelry."
