Luxury jewelry retailer Tiffany and Co has announced plans to open two new boutiques aimed exclusively at men.
The Japan-based 'Tiffany and Co- The Men's Store' outlets will be opening in the Hankyu department store in Osaka and in Roppongi Hills in Tokyo in April.
They will offer a range of platinum, gold and diamond pendants and rings from the brand's various collections, including Tiffany Atlas and Tiffany 1837.
In stock, there will also be numerous gift items such as key rings from a host of luxury designers such as Elsa Peretti and Paloma Picasso.
Michael Christ, president of the jeweler's Japan business, said that the two new stores were being launched after the success of the recently opened men's boutique in Tokyo.
Meanwhile, Russell Simmons, founder of Simmons Jewelry Company, thinks that the men's jewelry market is poised for growth due to its gift-item potential.
A survey conducted by the jeweler revealed that 60 per cent of the men polled would consider wearing jewelry other than their wedding, watch or cuff links, reports the Canadian Press.
