Jeweler to the rich and famous, Daniel K, has designed a $1 million diamond and platinum wedding ring.

The exquisite ring, inspired by what he describes as "the ambience of New York City", took a year to craft and features 12.66 carats of diamonds, with 12 of the glittering "eternity" stones in total, reports the Daily News.

It was unveiled on Friday last week at the Le Cirque restaurant at 151 East 58th Street, New York.

Normally selling to customers privately, this is the first time the jeweler has chosen to publicly promote a jewel, and he is sure the stunning ring will attract a romantic buyer despite its impressive price.

Daniel K's clients include Debra Messing and Halle Berry, with the latter depicted on the company's website flaunting a superb $50,000 ring she got earlier on in her career.

Other stars recently spotted out and about wearing beautiful platinum jewelry designs include Ashanti, Beyonce Knowles and Christina Applegate.
