Official Rules For PGI (Platinum Guild International) Photo Contest -- 2007

1. Send us your digital photos of retail store displays of platinum bridal jewelry! When you visit a retailer, ask to see their Platinum Bridal jewelry. If they have showcase(s) clearly identifying their Platinum jewelry, take a digital photo and SEND the photo to us! (See below for details). If the retailer does not have clear Platinum signage, but has Platinum bridal jewelry on display, give them a PGI sign "wedge" - then take a digital photo and SEND the photo to us! We will send you wedges on request.

2.  How to submit entries: Please access the simple entry form. Complete the entry form - including your name, your company's name, the name of the jeweler and the date of your visit -- then attach your digital photo and submit your entry online. If you encounter any problems with the submission, contact PGI's team member, Thomas Kimura, via email: tkimura@pgiglobal.com.

3. A digital photo must accompany each entry - one photo per entry. You may enter as many DIFFERENT photos as you like, and you may enter as many times as you have qualifying photos. Each photo must be taken by you, and each photo must be of a different display of platinum bridal jewelry.

4. Eligibility: Open to all sales representatives selling platinum bridal jewelry in the continental U.S. - PGI considers you to be Platinum All-Star Team Members!  Enter between August 20, 2007 and December 31, 2007. We must RECEIVE your completed entry and your digital photo by 11:59 on December 31, 2007, for your entry to be considered. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

5. How to Win: The Platinum All-Star Team Member who submits the most qualifying entries by midnight, December 31, 2007, will be the Grand Prize Winner. A second prize will be awarded to the runner-up with the next most qualifying entries.

6. Prizes: The Grand Prize is a $1500 gift certificate to The Leading Hotels of the World for a 4-night stay for two at one of the many Leading Hotels of the World properties in Mexico, including the Le Meridien Resort and Spa in Cancun. The gift certificate can be used towards lodging and restaurants in the selected property. Hotel taxes are the responsibility of the winner. Gift certificate expires August 1, 2008. In addition, roundtrip coach airfare from any city in the continental United States will be provided by Platinum Guild International for the Grand Prize winner and a guest. Trip must be completed by August 1, 2008. Arrangements are subject to availability. All other travel expenses, including meals, tips, taxes, and incidental expenses, are the responsibility of the winner. Approximate value of the Grand Prize is $3000. One Second Prize: One $500 Bloomingdales gift card (sponsored by Bloomingdales).

7. Winners will be announced on or about January 18, 2008. Winners will be notified by the email addresses and/or phone numbers given on their entries. Odds of winning depend on the number of qualifying entries received. Winner of the Grand Prize Cancun Trip and the winner's companion must have valid passports for travel to and from the United States. Winners will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release. The Affidavit must be signed and returned by prepaid overnight delivery within 14 days of the notification letter.  If any winner fails to comply with these requirements or any portion of the Official Rules, or if a notification is returned as undeliverable, an alternate winner will be selected from among the remaining eligible entries received.  PGI has the right to verify the eligibility qualifications of the winners. 

8. Retailer prizes for Best Displays: The Top Three (3) Retail Stores with the Best Platinum Bridal merchandise displays will be given live, facilitated sales training in-store, courtesy of PGI. The Retailer Displays, as shown in the digital photos submitted as contest entries by the Platinum All-Star Team members, will be judged by an independent panel from PGI for artistic design, unique Platinum bridal jewelry merchandising, and creative use of space. The judges' decisions will be based on their sole discretion and judgment and will be final and incontestable. PGI will also arrange for Mystery Shoppers to visit the Top Three Retail Stores and report on their sales associates' performance in delivering "The Platinum Experience". The Top Three (3) Retail Stores determined to have the Best Platinum Bridal merchandise displays will be announced in January 2008. No separate entries need to be made for the retailer prizes; the displays will be judged based on the digital photos submitted for the sales rep segment of the promotion.

9. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and by the decisions of PGI, which are final and binding on all matters relating to this promotion.  By entering and in consideration of being awarded prize, the winners grant PGI and its designees the right to use their names, biographical information, photographs and/or likenesses for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation, notification, or approval, worldwide, except where prohibited by law.  By entering, entrants assign to PGI all rights, including copyright, in and to the photos submitted and agree to execute any other documents as necessary to confirm that assignment. Entrants also agree that PGI may contact them about PGI initiatives and other industry information and may share the information on the entry forms with PGI members and others as PGI believes would be further its mission of promoting the use and sales of platinum jewelry and other products.

10. Employees, directors and officers of PGI, and its partners, agents and representatives, and their immediate family members and/or household members (spouse, parents, children, siblings, siblings' children, in-laws, housemates), are not eligible to enter or win. 

11. Winner is responsible for paying any applicable federal or local taxes on prizes. PGI will comply with all IRS reporting obligations. This promotion is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

12. Incomplete, unintelligible, damaged, inaccurate or late entries are void and not eligible.  PGI is not responsible for incomplete, misdirected, or unintelligible entries, for entries with incorrect contact information, or for disruptions in website availability or delivery of electronic communications. Any person who tampers with or abuses any aspect of this promotion, misstates any required information, or violates these official rules, as solely determined by PGI, will be disqualified. Any use of robotic, macro, automatic, programmed or like entry methods, or duplicate or manipulated photos, will void all such entries, and may subject that entrant to disqualification. If this promotion is corrupted or impaired by virus, worm, or other causes, PGI reserves the right at its sole discretion to modify or terminate the promotion.

13. Winners agree that all prizes are provided "as is."  PGI, Leading Hotels of the World and Bloomingdales make no warranty, representation or guarantee regarding any prize, including but not limited to its quality, condition, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.  No transfer, substitution, or cash redemption of prizes is permitted. The Grand Prize Winner may select an adult traveling companion, so long as traveling companion agrees to be bound by these rules as well. PGI reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute any prize with cash or with one of comparable or greater value, if a prize cannot be awarded as advertised for any reason. Winners assume all liability and risk for any injury or damage caused by prize, on any trip or during any travel, or as a result of the use or ownership of prize. Winner is solely responsible for all passport and other travel restrictions or requirements.

14. RELEASE OF LIABILITY:  BY ENTERING, ENTRANTS AGREE TO RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS PGI, LEADING HOTELS OF THE WORLD, BLOOMINGDALES, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES, AGENCIES, AND EMPLOYEES, FROM AND AGAINST ANY CLAIMS, ACTIONS, LOSSES, DAMAGES, OR LIABILITY OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, PERSONAL INJURIES, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR ANY DIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, WHICH ENTRANT OR ANYONE ELSE MAY INCUR OR SUFFER IN CONNECTION WITH THIS PROMOTION OR RESULTING FROM PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROMOTION OR FROM THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE AWARDED.  IF FOR ANY REASON THIS PROMOTION CANNOT BE RUN AS PLANNED, OR IF TAMPERING, UNAUTHORIZED INTERVENTION, ACTIONS BY ENTRANTS, FRAUD, TECHNICAL FAILURES, OR ANY OTHER CAUSES, IN PGI SOLE OPINION, CORRUPT OR AFFECT THE ADMINISTRATION, SECURITY, FAIRNESS, INTEGRITY, OR PROPER CONDUCT OF THIS PROMOTION, PGI RESERVES THE RIGHT, AT ITS SOLE DISCRETION, TO DISQUALIFY ANY INDIVIDUAL IMPLICATED IN SUCH ACTION, AND/OR TO CANCEL, TERMINATE, MODIFY OR SUSPEND THIS PROMOTION OR ANY PORTION THEREOF, OR THE AWARD OF ANY PRIZE.   THIS PROMOTION IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.
