At the 2009 JCK Show in Las Vegas, platinum bridal was clearly the bright spot. In fact, despite these tough economic times, a recent Modern Bride survey reported that 86% of brides said they are spending the same amount as six months ago or more on jewelry. Designers exhibiting at the show stayed focused and committed to their bridal business by returning to the classics, highlighting their "best sellers," and in the end, retailers made purchases.
